twitter lite

Why not in India?

The main aim of this Twitter lite is to optimize the mobile web experience in areas with unreliable mobile networks. Twitter lite was introduced to enhance the user experience in the countries with lower internet speeds.

India isn’t present on the list because it is the largest data consumption country in the world. So there is no any requirement for this kind of lite apps in India. With the Jio’s entry, India jumped from 150th position to 1st in data consumption. So Twitter decided not to release this lite version of Twitter in the developed country like India.

Just like the facebook lite, Twitter lite also reduces animations, graphics, and image, video quality to increase loading speeds even at lower internet speeds.

If you are not from the above listed 24 countries and still wanted to experience/try the app, then you can download it from APK Mirror,  so irrespective of where you are, you can try it out if you want to.
