Airtel and Jio are teasing each other for a while now. We’ve been seeing a new plan each and every week from both companies countering each other. Bharti Airtel introduced a new plan to counter Jio’s long-term unlimited calling plan. This Rs 597 plan offers unlimited voice calling benefit with no FUP limit for 168 days which is more than 5 months.
This plan is also bundled with data and SMS benefits as well. It is mainly a call-centric plan since the data offered is very low compared to many other data-offering plans available in the market today. This Rs 597 plan offers 10GB of data in total and 100 SMS per day.
Airtel vs Jio
Airtel Rs 597 plan competes with Jio’s long-term validity plan that costs Rs 1999 and Rs 999. At Rs 999, Jio offers 60GB data along with unlimited voice calls, SMS benefits and Jio app access for 90 days. The Jio Rs 1999 plan offers 125GB data along with unlimited calls and SMS benefits for 180 days.
Airtel recently launched a new Rs 98 plan which offers 2GB data for 28 days. This plan also offers unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day.
